At Adventist Senior Living we take the health and wellbeing of our residents and employees seriously. This includes our management of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to reassure you that we have vigorous infection control procedures in place and we are confident that these measures are helping us to keep our residents safe.
We know how important it is for our residents to have meaningful contact with their loved ones and we thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to strive to protect all the residents in our care and those in the community.
We appreciate how patient you have all been with the constant changing of visitor restriction guidelines.

Adventist Senior Living works under the advice of NSW Health for visitation.  NSW Health reviews and updates COVID-19 hotspots and areas of concern frequently. 

Prior to planning a visit to any of our residential aged care facilities, please ensure you do not live in, have visited or worked in any of the following areas:


Alstonville Adventist Aged Care Facility Visitation and Screening Times

Alstonville Adventist Aged Care Facility, is open to visitors under the  following times and restrictions:

Monday to Thursday – 10am to 4pm

Fridays – 10am to 2pm

Weekends – 10am to 2pm as follows:


  •   Sunday 19 September
    Saturday 25 September  
      Sunday 3 October
    Saturday 9 October  
      Sunday 17 October
    Saturday 23 October  
      Sunday 31 October


      • All staff and visitors must wear a mask
      • Only 2 visitors per resident each day from the following LGAs; Ballina, Lismore, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Clarence, Richmond Valley
      • Visits to be held in the residents room
      • Visitors must provide evidence that they have been vaccinated for influenza
      • Visitors must check in with QR Code and TeamGo

Alton Lodge and Avondale House

In response to current COVID-19 outbreaks across NSW, Avondale House and Alton Lodge are closed to visitors until further notice. This does not include Partners in Care. 

These arrangements will be in place until  advised by NSW Health.

Influenza Vaccination

From 1 June 2021 to 30 September 2021 it is a NSW Government requirement for all staff, visitors, volunteers and contractors to be vaccinated for influenza before entering residential aged care facilities. If you are not vaccinated from this date you will be refused entry unless you have a valid medical exemption certificate.


Requirement to Hand Sanitise

It is a NSW Health requirement that all visitors sanitise their hands at 3 points:

          • On entry to the facility
          • On entering their loved one’s room
          • When exiting the room.
