Thank you to the care staff who have looked after my mother during the year. I appreciate the patience and cheerfulness you have displayed. Thank you for the total outstanding care you provide each day and the extra mile you go with parties, Christmas etc. From personal care to meals and cleaning, it has all been delivered with kindness and friendliness.

The smiling faces, caring hearts, gentle hands and encouraging words from all the staff have made my mother’s life here on Level 3 very comfortable, peaceful and happy. Such a great team.

Big thank you to all the staff in the kitchen who are always smiling and patient. You are all so much appreciated.

It is a privilege to work at Adventist Senior Living on a number of levels. A privilege to be allowed to be part of residents lives during a crisis, a time of change/transition or a difficult time; to see the resilience, uniqueness and God given talents each resident has; and a privilege to work for an organisation that truly cares residents receive the support they need when they need it.

As a young girl, whenever anyone asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, I would say a nurse or a physiotherapist—I wanted to help heal people. But my life path changed and I didn’t follow through with my plan.
When I retired, I knew this would be my time to give of myself to others, no matter how small.
I love being with the residents, whether it be to have a chat, to try to make them smile, to play games, to read or to help with feeding. They have given more to me than I can to them. All the staff have been friendly and a great help to me.
Avondale Lifestyle Community has been a blessing to me, and I know I was meant to be here and hopefully for a long time yet.

I extend a listening ear to all who wish to engage matters of their heart as we seek understanding and resolution to each situation together. The value of caring for each other when our spirit is challenged is constantly evident in my interactions with residents, their families and staff. My mother enjoyed her time in respite care at Alstonville Aged Care recently. She went on an outing with friends, had her hair done, went for walks and enjoyed a board game or two. And I had a lovely time away visiting family inter-state. I can’t recommend respite care at Alstonville Aged Care enough

As the months went by, I found it a little more challenging to do everything on my own. I am glad my name was on the Adventist Senior Living’s waiting list for supported living care. Moving to Alton Lodge was an easy and good decision. The help I receive with some of the day-to-day tasks is wonderful. The staff are caring, friendly and professional, and I am enjoying making new friends and reconnecting with old friends. I am indeed at home among friends.

I want to express my appreciation for the wonderful and compassionate care that my wife is receiving at your home. Thank you for taking the time to get to know my wife over the past few months and for making her feel comfortable and safe there. This gives us peace of mind.
