Rain couldn’t dampen the spirit at Adventist Senior Living as residents gathered yesterday for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea—a heartwarming event dedicated to raising vital funds for cancer research and support services.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine connection. Residents enjoyed steaming cups of tea, delicious homemade treats, and a special live performance by our very own talented duo, Ernst and Craig, performing as “Double Trouble”.
Adding to the fun was a lively prize draw that brought an extra spark to the day. While some of us (myself included!) are still refining our tea-pouring techniques, the smiles and generosity of our community made it a truly memorable occasion.
A sincere thank you goes out to everyone who helped bring this event to life—including Marita Whitson, Lyn Sparke & friends from Hillview Opshop, Joy Watts, Betty Stellmaker, and Dorothy Bowd. Your support and dedication are what make our community so special.
We’re thrilled to share that we raised a total of $1,465.70 for the Cancer Council! A huge thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and helped bring this event to life. Your kindness and generosity made it a truly meaningful day.
